Stud Remover

Function: To grip and turn a headless or broken stud, bolt, or screw for removal or installation. Material: Typically made from hardened steel, such as chrome vanadium steel, for durability and strength. Drive Type: Designed to be used with a variety of tools, including wrenches, ratchets (with a square drive like 3/8" or 1/2"), or impact drivers. Common Types: Roller-type (or Cam-type): Uses a set of rollers or cams that grip the stud as it's turned, tightening their hold as torque is applied. Collet-type: Works like a drill chuck, clamping down on the stud with adjustable jaws for a secure grip. Conical/Fluted (Screw Extractor): Requires drilling a pilot hole into the broken stud, and the extractor with a reverse thread is then tapped in to bite and grip the stud. Size: Available in both metric (e.g., 6mm-19mm) and imperial (e.g., 1/4"-3/4") sizes to fit various stud diameters. Often sold as a set to accommodate different sizes.
