KTH Grey Oxide Primer 604 is one component general purpose, high build, economical solvent-based alkyd primer. It has good hiding power and has good adhesion on most metal substrate. It gives low gloss finishing to painted surfaces. Uses As primer in a multi-coat coating system. Most suitable for use in wooden surfaces, metal, Gl and etc. for mild industrial environment use, a suitable top-coat must be applied to enhance its durability Technical Data Method Application: Brush, roller and spray application Drying Time (Touch Dry/Dry to Handle): 30 mins / 1 to 2 hours Recoating Interval: 8 hours Density: 1.30 - 1.36 Volume Solid: 65 ÷ 5% Coverage: 8-11 m/litre Coating System: 604 Grey Oxide Primer / 5953 High Gloss (or 9600 High Gloss) Surface Preparation Wood- The wood surface must be dry and clean from dirt, grease, defective and poorly adhering material. Smoothen the surfaces with sandpaper and clean the surface before applying the primer. Metal: The metal surface must be dry and clean from diet, grease and poorly adhering material. Smoothen with sandpaper or metal brush to remove the rust. Clean the surface after smoothen Oil Paint Surface: Clean all old paint or peeled paint.
