Mixing and Processability (Pot Life) * Carefully and thoroughly mix the corresponding amount of adhesive with approx. 4 % of the HARDENER UT-R 20. Once both components (CEMENT SC 2000 / HARDENER UT-R 20) have been mixed, the compound must be processed within 2 hours. Contact Bonding Time (Open Time) 1. coat minimum 30 minutes, on metal minimum 1 hour * 2. coat must still be slightly tacky The 2. coat must be redone if overdry. By reason of its short contact bonding time, CEMENT SC 2000 is extremely well suited for the bonding of rubber sheets under tension (radii and small parts). *Pot life, contact bonding times as well as dwell times are naturally always dependent upon climate and environmental conditions, such as ambient temperature, air humidity, ventilation etc. Consequently, the indicated time periods should be regarded as a general guideline only; the ideal time periods must be determined on site while taking the respective climatic conditions into account.
